Inside Sales- Customer Service Representative

We are seeking an energetic, tech-smart, motivated and detail-focused Inside Sales Customer Support Associate and Front Desk Representative to join our team at our Charlotte location, working with our commercial/B2B customers.
Candidates should also be very comfortable with a high call-volume environment, MS Excel and/or other database software as well as reporting and tracking data.
Experience working with customers in commercial/B2B environments and builders is required.
- Enter orders and generate quotes received in person, over the phone, by fax or via email.
- Maintains a high level of quality on all calls and is knowledgeable of products, services, and methods of delivery.
- Work closely with outside sales staff and supporting departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitors customer credit limits and works in conjunction with the Credit Manager.
- Proactive follow up with customers regarding the status of their order and estimated time of delivery.
- Create and manage reports as required.
- Balance time between inbound and initiating outbound calls while maintaining customer service level requirements, including availability to customers.
- Follows the standard operating procedures for the department
- Previous experience in sales and customer service (front desk and phone)
- Experience in the Building Materials Industry (cabinets and countertops) is preferred but not required
- Very comfortable with technology, databases and software’s
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills
